Ian Sharman and his family run New Holbeck Farm and are renowned locally for their 430‐strong herd of French Montbeliarde cows. Whilst Montbeliarde cows deliver a particularly high yield and have increased profitability on the farm, Ian was keen to explore other ways to help manage the high costs involved in dairy farming.
Having researched the benefits of wind turbines for farmers like himself, Ian opted to install a Vergnet GEV MPC 250kW turbine on his land.
