Chris Gavin, Sales Manager
Chris is Vergnet’s GB Sales Manager and is responsible for identifying growth opportunities and delivering excellent customer care for medium wind energy projects throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
As a key client contact, Chris’ track record in delivering wind and solar energy projects enable him to provide tailored medium wind turbine solutions for landowners, farmers and land agents across GB.
Chris is a well-seasoned professional, having worked within the renewables industry for the past seven years with experience in successfully delivering medium wind turbine projects throughout the UK. His experience extends across the renewable energy spectrum having also assisted landowners in developing biomass and anaerobic digestion projects.
Prior to joining Vergnet, Chris has held significant roles with notable companies including Gaia-Wind, RM Renewable Energy and in the global technology industry, where he worked as a business analyst.
After initially studying Chemistry, Biology and Geology at Glasgow University, Chris’ keen eye for business led him to pursue a career in sales and business development and he brings to his role a wealth of experience in successfully growing a number of businesses from start-up, including a business of his own.
Nick White, Technical Manager
Nick is Vergnet’s Technical Manager in the UK, primarily responsible for Operations & Maintenance (O&M).
He works across Vergnet’s growing local O&M customer base to ensure the optimal performance of the wind turbines. This includes the management of all planned and scheduled turbine servicing, remote monitoring and ongoing operational requirements.
Prior to joining Vergnet, Nick held significant technical roles within the UK wind turbine O&M sector. He is a fully trained Process Control Engineer with a quality control background and experience of computer systems and production techniques and highly conversant with ISO and BS working procedures.
Nick was educated at the Rotherham College of Arts and Technology with relevant qualifications including an Ordinary National Certificate (ONC) in Materials Technology.
Patrice Vezin, Wind Farm Development Engineer
Patrice has been working at Vergnet for almost 20 years, having joined as manager in 1996. He was appointed to the position of Development Engineer in 2007.
In this senior position, he fulfils a number of key roles within Vergnet including medium wind product development and project management.
Patrice works closely with Vergnet’s UK customers from wind analysis and project feasibility to assistance with turbine selection and site suitability assessment.
Prior to working at Vergnet, Patrice held several management positions in the renewable energy sector including with EDF and Ademe.
A qualified Civil Engineer, he graduated from ECAM (Ecole Catholique des Arts et Métiers) in Lyon in 1990.
